Every year, Van Oord employees embark on international assignments that take them across continents and cultures. These assignments come with a wide range of administrative processes, all of which require accuracy, careful coordination and a people-focused approach. As Officer Expat Desk, you play a key role in making sure every assignment is set up for success. From preparing contracts and arranging assignment conditions to managing documentation, you ensure that every detail is organised, compliant and completed throughout the entire assignment lifecycle.
In this role, you provide clarity and support to colleagues while ensuring that all international assignment processes run smoothly from start to finish. You prepare and update assignment contracts and related documentation, determine the applicable allowances and insurance arrangements, and ensure these are processed correctly. You also monitor leave entitlements and family-related matters associated with international assignments. Throughout the process, you act as a reliable point of contact, offering clear communication, practical guidance and trusted support to employees embarking on their international journey.
YOUR WORKPLACE
You’ll work from our Rotterdam office, surrounded by experienced professionals who share a hands-on, open and collaborative mindset. You’ll liaise with departments across the organisation, including HR, Planning and Pool Management, to ensure alignment and care in every assignment.
