As an HR Services Officer, you play a key role in delivering reliable, accurate, and people-focused HR services throughout the employee lifecycle. You are the point of contact for HR-related questions from employees, managers, and the HR community, and you respond in line with HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
You handle both routine and more complex HR queries. You work independently on standard HR activities and transactions, seek support when needed for sensitive or complex cases, and provide clear advice by interpreting policies and processes within your area of expertise and relevant geographies. You deliver timely, high-quality support with a personal touch, researching the broader context behind requests and proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
Compliance is central to your role. You ensure HR lifecycle transactions meet local laws, regulations, and Van Oord policies, and you maintain accurate personnel administration by collecting, updating, and managing employee data in Workday (our HRIS system), as well as related files, and archives. You stay up to date on relevant legislation and HR developments and actively contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing HR processes, templates, and procedures.
You are part of Van Oord’s HR Services department and work closely with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Centers of Expertise, and other internal stakeholders. You support a broad range of HR activities, from hiring and onboarding to benefits administration, promotions, transfers, and termination.
We offer you a position in which you will have an important contribution to our mission 'building a better world for future generations'. In addition, we offer you:
* a salary that matches your responsibilities and experience. * Travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home office allowance (€2,45 per day);
* 32 leave days per year;
* Variable bonus;
* Pension scheme;
* Collective health insurance (optional);
* Flexible working from home policy, 2 days a week when working on a full-time basis;
* Extensive learning and (personal) development possibilities, including a wide range of online courses via Goodhabitz;
* You can join communities, like Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women and the Van Oord staff association;
* We organize several (sport) events, e.g. winter sport, weekend of sailing, cycling and a motorcycle tour.
