For our Facility Services department in Gorinchem, we are looking for a Facility Services Assistant. In this role, you are responsible for the daily operational facility activities within our office. You ensure that colleagues, visitors and suppliers experience a professional and well organised working environment. No two days are the same. One moment you are arranging workplace changes and the next you are supporting an event or resolving a facility issue. Through your practical approach and service minded attitude, you help create a workplace where everyone can perform at their best.
You make sure facility services are delivered efficiently, safely and with high quality. You know how to prioritise tasks and assess the urgency of requests and incidents. Your work contributes directly to a pleasant, safe and productive working environment. By staying one step ahead, you help colleagues focus on their work while you ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.
• Manage workplaces and coordinate internal office moves in line with health and safety guidelines
• Prepare meeting rooms and support internal clients with facility requests
• Process quotations, orders and invoices and manage stock control and goods receipt
• Support events, receptions and meetings within the office
• Participate in the emergency response team (BHV)
You will join the Facility Services team at our Gorinchem office. Together, you ensure that our colleagues can work in a safe, comfortable and professional environment. The team works closely together and values initiative, reliability and service. You will have plenty of opportunities to take ownership and contribute ideas that improve our workplace.
You enjoy helping people and solving practical challenges. You stay calm when priorities change and know how to balance service with efficiency. You communicate easily with different stakeholders and understand the importance of discretion and professionalism. You like working in a team while also taking responsibility for your own tasks.
• MBO level education
• Experience in a similar facility services position is preferred
• Driver's licence B
• Good command of Dutch and English
• Technical insight and a strong facility services mindset
This role gives you the opportunity to make a visible difference every day. You help create an environment where colleagues can succeed while developing your own skills within a dynamic international organisation. In addition, we offer:
• A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
• Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.45 per day)
• 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective)
• Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results
• Attractive pension scheme
• Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package)
• Extensive development opportunities, including a comprehensive online academy via Goodhabitz
• Communities to join, such as Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women, and the Van Oord staff association
• Various events and sports activities, such as skiing, sailing weekends, cycling, and motorcycling
