THE POSITION

As a Corporate Recruiter Crew within our Ship Management Department (SMD), you ensure our vessels are always staffed with the right qualified professionals. You work closely with Pool Managers, who keep you informed about the needs and challenges across our fleet. From the bridge and the deck to the engine room, you know where to find the right talent, build strong connections quickly, and help keep our global operations running smoothly.

 

You take ownership of the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and engaging candidates to conducting interviews and securing top maritime professionals. You collaborate closely with hiring managers, HR, and crew planners. No two days are the same in this fast-paced maritime environment, where flexibility, speed, and quality are key.

This role goes beyond filling roles. It is about building strong, reliable crews that make a real impact on board and across our global projects.

YOUR IMPACT

You play a key role in building high-performing and dependable crews for our vessels. As the main point of contact for both candidates and Pool Managers, you ensure a smooth and positive recruitment experience from start to finish.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full recruitment process end to end, from sourcing maritime professionals to selection and offer stage;
  • Working closely with Pool Management, Crew Planning, HR, and fellow recruiters to secure the best talent for our fleet;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve recruitment processes and implementing smarter, faster, and more effective ways of working;
  • Advising Pool Managers and Managers Crew using data insights and market knowledge.

 

YOUR WORKPLACE

You will be part of our dynamic Talent Acquisition team in Rotterdam, a group of around 20 colleagues known for their energy, curiosity, and drive. Together with two fellow recruiters, you will focus on all vacancies within the SMD Crew department, working closely with Pool Managers and HR colleagues.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced recruiter and a confident stakeholder manager who can easily engage with people at all levels. You are naturally curious and excited to learn more about the maritime industry and the people who work in it. You bring energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in building strong teams.

 

You also bring:

  • Proven experience across the full recruitment lifecycle, either in-house or on agency-side;
  • Fluency in English, suitable for an international work environment; Fluency in Dutch is an advantage;
  • Experience in a technical environment, preferably within construction or the maritime sector;
  • A genuine interest in shipping and life at sea.
