Process Specialist Management Systems

THE POSITION

In the role of Process Specialist Management Systems you will support Van Oord with designing and documentation of organisational processes. You will work with internal stakeholders in different departments and business units, conducting thorough analysis or current processes and way of working, identify inefficiency, bottlenecks and areas and improvement.


In this position you will be part of the QHSE Systems Department. The primary aim of the Department is to ensure coordination of different processes and systems that are used and deployed throughout the organization and maintain the management system including the various certifications for the Van Oord organisation.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you drive process excellence across the organization by connecting stakeholders, improving ways of working and ensuring sustainable performance improvements. What additional responsibilities do you have as a Process Specialist Management Systems?


  • Management system coordination: development and maintenance of Van Oord Management system in line with international (ISO) standards; management of audit programme and continual improvement.
  • Process analysis, design and documentation: design new processes or redesign existing processes to improve efficiency; create flowcharts that are clear and comprehensive.
  • Performance management: establish KPIs to measure process effectiveness, review process performance.
  • Project management: lead or participate in process improvement projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Change management: develop and execute change management to support process changes, communicate changes effectively and monitor the impact of the changes and make adjustments as necessary.


Your workplace

You will be based in Rotterdam and will be traveling from time to time to offices and projects around the world. You will be part of a small, specialised team that approaches quality from a management system perspective.


ABOUT YOU

You are driven by quality, standardisation and continuous improvement. With your structured approach and strong communication skills, you easily engage stakeholders and help elevate quality performance across the organisation. Experience with process mapping tools is a plus, enabling you to effectively translate improvements into clear and actionable processes.

You also bring:


  • Minimum Bachelor degree or equivalent (business administration) 
  • At least ten (10) years of work experience in management system (documentation, auditing, improvement, reporting) and process management related to QHSE processes, preferably in the similar industry: marine contracting, infrastructure, oil and gas.
  • Attention to details, analytical skills and problem solving skills: ability to analyse complex processes and data to identify issues and opportunities and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating documentation and conveying information
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and stakeholders
