Welding Inspector

We are looking for an experienced Welding Inspector to join our QHSE team on a rotation basis for various projects worldwide. As a Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of welding work, conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), overseeing coating procedures, and verifying materials against industry standards and specifications across multiple international project sites.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Create good relationship between VO and Subcontractor on peer level
  • Conduct inspections according to VO procedures and project specifications
  • Report inspections on a daily basis
  • Record and report to Quality Coordinator/QC Supervisor (and site Rep if applicable) any nonconformities and concerns, which shall not be limited to quality issues.
  • Monitor follow-up of NCR’s
  • Monitor follow-up of Punch lists
  • Ensure compliance with the approved ITP
  • Inspect as instructed selected material and/or equipment for compliance with the approved ITP
  • Follow up any specific tasks set out in the inspection assignment package
  • Issue inspection reports, including photographs and attachments, such as technical deviations, NCRs, Release Notes, ITRs Welding reports, Coating reports etc
  • Assist QHSE during site visit and inspections
  • Assist (when requested to do so) in the preparation of project QC documents
  • Set up personal computer files for storage of relevant information, such as inspection assignment packages, inspection reports, inspection release notes, etc.

ABOUT YOU

  • At least 3 years’ experience in welding inspection, NDT techniques, coating procedures and application, materials and their specifications and industry related norms and standards
  • Technical degree
  • Inspection level 2 e.g. CSWIP 3.1/ VTW 2
  • IKT 2 (pre)
  • I.W.T. (pre)
  • Safety certificate e.g. VCA (VOL)
  • NACE/ FROSIO level 1 or 2 (if applicable)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Dutch preferred
