Lifting Supervisor Offshore Wind

The position


In the role of lifting supervisor, you will be responsible managing the onshore and offshore lifting operations of foundations and turbine installation through the appropriate lift plan and toolbox talks at the start. 

You will be working in project preparation and on board of our installation vessels. 

Your responsibilities


  • Checks all lift plans and associated risk assessments/ method statements subsequent to approving them 
  • Ensuring the validity and adequate implementation of the installation manual 
  • Support for the crane- specific calculations such as load capacity, lifting height and lifting capacity. Checks and maintains certification of lifting gear 
  • Manage the daily activity of offshore lifting site personnel like crane operators and establish requirements
  • Instruct, supervise and correct subordinates regarding to the procedures and instructions 
  • Prepare the required documentation prior to the start of a particular activity 
  • Initiate meetings to discuss work methodologies and HSE management 
  • Awareness during the lift operations of health and safety issues and takes actions when necessary 


Job requirements


  • Operational experience on board ships as crane operator or lifting supervisor 
  • A good command of the English language 
  • Strong communication and social skills 
  • An independent, practical and creative person who can solve problems, dares to take decisions and is able to work in project teams 
  • A flexible attitude with regard to working on board and at project locations
