As Ships Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation of the electrical and automation systems on board one of our modern hopper dredgers.
You work on a 5-weeks-on / 5-weeks-off rotation and report to the Chief Engineer. Your work covers a wide range of systems, from PLCs and electrical drives to networks and high-voltage installations. You also ensure that electrical documentation and ship administration are kept accurate and up to date in line with Van Oord procedures and standards.
You make sure our vessels can operate safely, reliably and efficiently. You take ownership of electrical systems and contribute to improvements that keep our fleet future-ready.
