You hold a key position where you can make a difference from the start by telling Van Oord's story. This involves using standard questionnaires and formal statements, as well as highlighting our extensive experience, innovations, and sustainability programs to clients.
Additionally, these are your main responsibilities:
• You ensure that submissions are carefully prepared so that a tender team can submit the bid or that we pre-qualify to tender;
• Compose and write Request For Information documents and standardizing documents;
• Align with all departments within Van Oord involved in the bid to ensure timely delivery of the correct information;
• Assisting in tenders by gathering certificates, track records, or writing certain generic texts;
• Contribute to improving procedures within the PQ process. The necessary information often needs to be collected from colleagues and databases.
Sometimes you need to act as a coordinator for complex ‘Request for Proposals,’ which require collaboration with engineers, the commercial department, and sometimes third parties, such as joint venture partners or subcontractors. The main goal is to ensure that Van Oord stands out and progresses to the tender phase.
YOUR WORKPLACE
The Pre Qualification Desk (PQ Desk) team consists of five colleagues in similar roles, including experienced colleagues who have built the PQ desk. As a PQ Desk, we are one team, multi-deployable for Dredging, Infrastructure, and Offshore Energy projects. You work with and support the tender teams; from your central role, you are a central link and make a significant contribution to winning new projects. Within the team, we back each other up and brainstorm to choose the right approach for the tenders and, keep each other sharp. You can help us by continuously thinking along and suggesting (process) improvements.
As a Pre Qualification and Tender Support Officer, you often have a short period to arrange everything needed for a submission that is accurate and complete, otherwise, our submission is invalid. To be successful, you are stress-resistant, results-oriented, and precise. You enjoy taking on a central and connecting role, diving in headfirst to learn on the job. You make contact easily and you feel no barrier to approach colleagues throughout the organization to obtain the information you need. Within the team, you take responsibility, work independently and structured on multiple tenders simultaneously, whilst keeping a good overview.
Do you also meet the following job requirements? Then we look forward to receiving your application!
• You have a higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working;
• You have at least one year of work experience with pre-qualifications in a similar role. The sector in which you have gained experience is less important, as long as you have an affinity with the maritime sector;
• You have an excellent command of English. It is a plus if you also speak Dutch.
