Junior Global Mobility Advisor

THE POSITION

As junior global mobility advisor at Van Oord, you will be assisting the global mobility manager to navigate the complex landscape of international tax law and ensure compliance with national and international tax and social security regulations. You will work on the daily variety of ad-hoc questions from the employees and the business about anything that is cross border employment related. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the field and gain valuable hands-on experience in global mobility management as well as expanding your knowledge in this area. 

YOUR IMPACT

  • You will support your colleagues in the development of policy documents, guidelines and instructions (Uniform design of templates, change forms, contracts, etc.). You will work closely with our HR department in our transition to a new HR operating system, translating our global mobility requirements into workable solutions; 
  • You will proactively share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues on various topics, such as immigration, tax, social security, (international) health insurance, visa requirements and relocation in general;
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between our global mobility team and the stakeholders across the organization, offering assistance in their daily encounters with cross border employment related questions.

YOUR WORKPLACE

The global mobility team is currently driven by 9 colleagues. All colleagues have their different role and expertise and together we equally contribute towards a global approach for compliant cross border employment, both in our offices and on our projects. 

ABOUT YOU

  • Master degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics or related field;
  • Up to four years of experience in a similar role within a multinational or within a consultancy firm; 
  • Attention to detail and willingness to tackle problems/issues which are new to you;
  • Eagerness to learn and develop by doing, raising questions is seen as a strength for this role. We are here to grow together;
  • Fluency in English, any additional languages are a plus.
