From screening candidates to scheduling and coordinating interviews, you ensure a smooth and efficient process. Want to make an impact and help strengthen our crew? YOUR WORKPLACE
The Ship Management Department (SMD) plays a crucial role in assembling the crew for our impressive fleet, from experienced officers to engineers. We ensure the right people are in the right place, both nationally and internationally.
Our team consists of three recruiters, each specializing in a specific pool within the fleet. We work closely with Pool Managers, who oversee the onboarding, progression, and offboarding of crew members. Together, we ensure our vessels are optimally staffed, contributing to Van Oord’s success at sea!
YOUR IMPACT
Conducting phone screenings with candidates
- Coordinating and scheduling interviews
- Analyzing the target audience and identifying strategic recruitment opportunities
- Proactively sourcing, approaching, and engaging potential candidates
- Representing Van Oord at recruitment events and guiding candidates
- Supporting various recruitment tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process
ABOUT YOU
Currently pursuing a business-related degree such as Business Administration, Communication, HRM, Logistics & Supply Chain, or Applied Psychology
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written
- Available at least three days per week for a minimum of three months
- Residing in the Rotterdam area

You will work from our headquarters in Rotterdam, with a stunning view of the Maas River. Start or end your workday in our in-house gym. While remote work is possible, we encourage you to be in the office as much as possible!
