Equipment Coordinator Zero Emission

You drive the energy transition forward. On our projects you make sure zero emission equipment is not just an idea, but works in practice. Outside, on site, where it matters most. You connect technology and operations and make sustainable impact visible.

THE POSITION

You ensure zero emission equipment is deployed safely, reliably and efficiently across our projects and bring structure to an environment where technology, safety and execution come together. You oversee operations, coordinate battery logistics and battery planning, manage maintenance and technical alignment and ensure guidelines for safe working with electric equipment are followed. You connect teams, suppliers and technology and translate innovation into practical solutions that can be applied

YOUR IMPACT

You stay up to date with developments in machine safety and zero emission equipment and translate them into practical solutions. As the link between QHSE, project teams and suppliers you make sure everything is aligned, from preparation through to execution. In addition, you are responsible for:

  • The planning of our 10ft batteries, fast chargers, temporary charging points and hired zero emission equipment across multiple projects;
  • Reviewing and improving working methods;
  • Contributing ideas on the deployment of new zero emission equipment;
  • Advising tenders and projects on deployment and efficient use;
  • Optimising the use of our batteries across different projects;
  • Providing technical advice and feedback to teams and stakeholders.

YOUR WORKPLACE

As Van Oord Grondstoffen we are part of the Van Oord Dredging and Infra business unit. We are responsible for budgets and often operate between the market and Van Oord projects.

You will be part of the Van Oord Grondstoffen team and work on projects and tenders for Van Oord and its subsidiaries. We are a close-knit team of specialists and hands-on professionals. Our team consists of around 10 FTE in the office and 55 FTE on site. We have a driven mindset and people genuinely want to work for and with each other.

ABOUT YOU

You have built strong experience on projects and are ready for the next step. You understand how work on site operates and want to have a greater impact on how projects are delivered in a smarter and more sustainable way. For you, zero emission is not a vision for the future, but something you actively want to help build. You understand how equipment, planning and execution come together and see opportunities to organise this better and more efficiently.

New developments such as electric equipment and battery technology genuinely interest you and you want to stay ahead in this field. You take initiative, engage colleagues and turn ideas into action on projects. In addition, you bring:

  • A completed MBO qualification in a technical field, preferably electrical engineering;
  • Experience within civil engineering, road construction or hydraulic engineering, experience as a site supervisor is an advantage;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and a good command of English;
  • Strong skills in MS Office, digital planning tools and web-based solutions;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to switch quickly between tasks and stakeholders;
  • Flexibility and a willingness to visit projects regularly.

WE OFFER

In this role you will see the direct impact of your work on our projects and make a visible contribution to emission-free construction. In addition, we offer:

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience;
  • Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) or a company car and a home working allowance (€2.45 per day);
  • 32 holidays per year, of which a maximum of 7 are collective days;
  • Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results;
  • Attractive pension scheme;
  • Option for collective health insurance, with Van Oord covering your supplementary package.
