Corporate Recruiter Ship Management Department

THE POSITION

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a corporate recruiter, experienced and talented in high volume recruiting and in selecting technical talent. In recent years, the recruitment team has developed into a talent acquisition team in which passion, energy and resourcefulness are key. In this role you will also work closely with our HR department for SMD. Together with the whole HR department for SMD, we have a busy year ahead of us, facing plenty of challenges!

YOUR IMPACT

As a recruiter working for our Ship Management Department (SMD) at Van Oord, you are hiring seafaring crew to join our Van Oord vessels. The whole recruitment channel is your responsibility. Starting with attracting the right people through to cv selection up to offering the contract to the candidate. You work closely with Fleet management, Crew Planning and Pool management. Candidates have you as the ‘one point of contact’, which gives you a significant and important role in the hiring of our new colleagues!

  • You are responsible for the whole recruitment channel within SMD Crew. Starting with attracting the right people through cv selection to offering the contract;
  • You challenge the hiring managers within SMD Crew, tactically and strategically, to find the right candidate;
  • Together with the TA team and HR SMD, you build the position of Van Oord and SMD as an employer of choice and improve and strengthen the TA department
  • You get the freedom to improve the efficiency and reliability of the recruitment process where possible.

 

YOUR WORKPLACE

You will be working in our dynamic talent acquisition department, which is split into four teams. You'll be teaming up with 7 recruiters, each with their own unique area of expertise. Alongside 4 of your colleagues, you’ll take charge of the full recruitment process and handle all the vacancies in our SMD department.

  • Engage in effective recruitment and sourcing methods, including the deployment of relevant social media, campaigning, and internal and external networks
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, speaking and writing (also creatively) given the international character of our organization;
  • Have gained experience in a technical work environment, preferably within contracting or the maritime sector, you have experience with the full scope of recruitment.
