Commercial Manager

In this role, you’ll lead commercial opportunities that shape coastlines, harbours and waterways for generations to come. You’ll turn complex market dynamics into winning strategies, connecting our dredging and infrastructure expertise with clients’ most ambitious challenges. At Van Oord, you don’t just close deals — you create impact that withstands time, tides and change.

The position

As Commercial Manager within our Dredging & Infra business unit, you play a pivotal role in driving our strategic commercial agenda. You analyse global and regional market trends, identify opportunities and shape proposals that align with our long-term goals. Your responsibilities

You will:
• Develop and execute commercial strategies that strengthen our market position and deliver profitable growth;
• Represent Van Oord towards clients, partners and stakeholders worldwide, building strong, lasting relationships;
• Translate client needs into innovative, competitive solutions that showcase our marine ingenuity;
• Lead contract negotiations, securing conditions that safeguard quality, safety and profitability;
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues, fostering commercial excellence within your team.

YOUR WORKPLACE
You’ll be based at our head office in Rotterdam, working in a dynamic international environment. Expect an open, collaborative atmosphere where commercial, technical and operational experts work side by side. You’ll travel regularly to meet clients and partners, expanding your network and seeing the direct impact of your work on our projects worldwide.

You are a proactive Commercial Manager who sees, recognizes, and creates opportunities. You are collaborative, communicative, and commercially driven. We Offer

We offer you a position in which you will have an important contribution to our mission 'building a better world for future generations'. In addition, we offer you:
