Master Multicat

As Master Multicat, you take the lead on board. You carry the full responsibility for your vessel, your team and your operations. With confidence and clarity, you guide the crew, steer production and ensure safety. Because when your vessel moves, the project moves with it.

THE POSITION

As Master Multicat, you are responsible for managing all onboard operations from nautical decisions to technical maintenance, from crew leadership to contact with local authorities. Every safe and successful manoeuvre reflects your leadership. Every shift in the water begins with your command.

YOUR IMPACT 

As Master Multicat, you take ownership of production output, ensure smooth coordination with project teams, and safeguard our high QHSE standards. Your main tasks will include:

  • Supervise and manage all activities onboard carrying final responsibility in order to make optimal production/project output possible in close cooperation with other equipment, company management and clients (on- and offshore);
  • Guide, supervise, motivate and train your crew in consultation with operational supervisor(s) and in accordance with the relevant personnel policy, to create and safeguard a positive working atmosphere;
  • Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental regulations onboard as well as the maintenance of the assigned equipment;
  • Oversee (long term) maintenance planning in collaboration with our Fleet department;
  • Act as the main point of contact for local authorities and service agencies.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have at least 3 years of actual and relevant operational experience as 1st skipper or Skipper Multicat;
  • Proven track record in successfully managing multidisciplinary and international teams;
  • STCW courses completed and readiness to complete all recommended Van Oord training;
  • Proficiency in the English language at a professional level;
  • Stress resistant and focused for longer periods, a good level of decisiveness, a good team player, great communication skills and in possession of a good work ethic with a hands on mentality.
