2nd Officer MPI Jack ups

THE POSITION

As a 2nd Officer on board a Jack-Up vessel, you are responsible for safely navigating the ship and supporting marine and offshore operations.

YOUR IMPACT

As a 2nd Officer, you play a crucial role in the operational processes on board and contribute to the vessel's productivity. Your responsibilities include:

  • Standing watch on the bridge during operations and transit.
  • Preparing for and assisting with jack-up operations and DP (Dynamic Positioning) activities.
  • Ensuring safety on board and actively contributing to safety procedures as Safety Officer.
  • Supporting deck operations, cargo handling, and coordinating with the installation or construction team.
  • Maintaining communication with project management and the bridge team during critical offshore operations.
  • Training and mentoring junior officers and cadets.

ABOUT YOU

You have a background in the maritime sector and are independent, stress-resistant, and flexible. Additionally, you have a good command of the English language and possess the necessary documents to work within the EU. Furthermore:

  • Holds a completed education in Maritime Officer studies (MBO or HBO level).
  • Has a valid Certificate of Competency of at least Officer of the Watch.
  • Has experience with offshore operations and/or jack-up or DP vessels (preferred).
  • Is familiar with applicable regulations and standards (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL).
  • Is a team player, communicatively strong, and safety-driven.
  • Is willing to work worldwide in a rotational schedule.
