Business Application Support Team Lead

Are you a hands-on, down-to-earth leader with a knack for solving complex problems? At Van Oord, we're looking for an experienced Business Application Support Team Lead to guide a team of specialists and ensure seamless operations across our global projects, from Rotterdam to the Arabian Sea.

YOUR IMPACT

As the Business Application Support Team Lead, you’ll be the go-to person for all application-related queries, ensuring satisfaction by connecting them with the best solutions and specialists. You’ll actively contribute to daily tasks while leading and developing a team of skilled application administrators. This is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role. You will be expected to lead by example, actively participating in daily tasks while guiding your team to success. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide efficient, top-tier user support and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Identify and implement improvements to business applications
  • Lead and motivate a team of application specialists
  • Manage application administration processes (audits, security, supplier and stakeholder relations)
  • Ensure a customer-centric approach to all inquiries and challenges


YOUR WORKPLACE

You are part of the Competence Centre team with a total of 7 colleagues. Our Competence Centre team falls within our Ship Management Department. You work intensively with various colleagues within the SMD department. This position is based at our head office in Rotterdam.

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years as a Business Application Manager in a large organization
  • Skilled in application administration, process management, and stakeholder relations
  • Higher vocational education level
  • Proven leadership or team-oriented experience


Required Skills 

  • Effective user support and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to work
  • Expertise in workload management and team collaboration
  • Passion for continuous improvement and adapting to new technologies
  • Customer-focused and results-driven


Additional Advantages 

  • Experience in maritime or related industries
  • Experience with software implementations, testing, and user training
