Traineeship Offshore Energy Cable Unit

Are you ready to make your mark in the world of offshore engineering? Join our Offshore Energy Cable Unit as a trainee and develop your expertise in cable installation engineering. Gain hands-on experience across multiple stages of project development, from preparation to offshore installation, and position yourself for a promising career path in this dynamic field.

THE POSITION

As a Trainee in the Offshore Energy Cable Unit, you will embark on an 18-month development program designed to help you become a professional in the cable installation field. Through structured learning phases, you gain valuable project experience, from the preparation stage to offshore installations, and contribute to optimizing processes and systems.  You’re involved in various tasks, working closely with experienced engineers and project teams to gain a deep understanding of the entire project lifecycle.

YOUR IMPACT

Throughout the 18-month traineeship, you will progress through three phases that will shape you into a skilled professional in the cable foundation field:

  • Phase 1: Focus on building a strong foundation by learning the core principles of cable installation. You will take relevant courses, such as offshore training, and begin familiarizing yourself with the team and the projects.
  • Phase 2: Active involvement in project operations, where you will support tasks, such as planning installation, solving engineering issues, and assisting in project documentation. You’ll work in various project stages and gain practical experience, sometimes working offshore or supporting roles on-site.
  • Phase 3: Apply all the knowledge and experience gained in the first two phases to your daily work. You will return to the office to reflect on your learnings, contribute to tender processes, support standardization projects, and take part in innovation initiatives. This phase focuses on improving cable installation processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of the department.
