YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior Automation Engineer you play a crucial role in managing, specifying, developing, implementing and maintaining operating systems on our ships. With your expertise you oversee the scope of complex process and automation projects and ensure that they are completed successfully. This is done by working effectively with various stakeholders, colleagues and subcontractors, with the focus on translating and implementing sustainable technical systems on board.

  • You are able to convert complex issues and operational needs into technical specifications and you draw up functional descriptions for both ship and control systems;
  • You are adept at planning, coordinating and executing projects within established timelines and budgets. You are able to oversee the technical scope of the projects, identify and manage risks. You do this by using your technical knowledge of process control such as control technology, PLC control, SCADA systems, hydraulics and other relevant technologies used for monitoring and managing industrial processes;
  • You set up processes for the management of our ships. This includes the management of various software, system applications and cyber security for our Operational Technology (OT) systems;
  • You like to be challenged substantively and know how to involve, support and motivate your colleagues where necessary. As a result, complex new construction and major modification projects are successfully completed;
  • You supervise and document acceptance tests at subcontractors. You are also involved in commissioning automation systems on board our ships.
