Proces Coordinator

Do you want to help keep the Netherlands’ vital water infrastructure reliable and future ready? As a Process Coordinator Asset Management at Van Oord, you play an active role in improving, safeguarding and applying processes within long term maintenance contracts for waterways, dikes, riverbanks, bridges, locks and pumping stations. You help create structure, improve collaboration and ensure projects remain in control. Together, we build infrastructure that people depend on every day. Building the future together starts with your impact.

THE POSITION

As a Process Coordinator Asset Management, you work on maintenance contracts and replacement and renovation projects within the Dutch water infrastructure sector. You support project teams in setting up, applying and improving processes and systems. Your work sits at the intersection of systems engineering, risk management, information management and quality assurance.

You do more than provide advice. You help teams create structure, document information effectively, prepare for audits and reviews and implement improvements in daily operations. By doing so, you contribute to the efficient and controlled delivery of projects and help strengthen our long-term asset management capabilities.

YOUR IMPACT

You are the connecting link between project teams, technical specialists, processes and clients. Through your structured approach, you help make project control more professional, consistent and practical across our maintenance contracts. You advise on the effective setup of processes, information management and demonstrable compliance. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting project teams with scope, risk, quality and information management;
  • Setting up and applying systems engineering processes including requirements management, verification and validation;
  • Supporting the development, maintenance and monitoring of risk registers and helping teams identify risks and opportunities at an early stage;
  • Preparing audits, reviews and quality checks and following up on findings and improvement actions;
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements within projects.

YOUR WORKPLACE

You will be part of Van Oord Asset Management, focused on the long term maintenance of water infrastructure across the Netherlands. You will work within project teams in the south and southeast of the country and enjoy a varied working environment between project locations and the office. Collaboration, professional development and continuous improvement are central to the way we work.

As our organisation continues to grow, there is plenty of room to shape and develop your role. This makes the position suitable for both recent graduates with a strong interest in process driven work and professionals who have already gained experience in project control, systems engineering or information management.

ABOUT YOU

You are analytical, structured and practical. You enjoy working with others and are motivated by making processes effective and easy to apply for project teams. You can switch smoothly between detail and the bigger picture and enjoy supporting colleagues in driving improvements. In addition, you bring:

  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, for example in Industrial Engineering and Management, Civil Engineering or Asset Management;
  • You are either a recent graduate with an affinity for, or have several years of experience in, project control, systems engineering, quality management, information management or risk management;
  • An interest in process driven working, audits, verification and validation;
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Experience within infrastructure, maintenance contracts or technical projects is an advantage.

WE OFFER

This role gives you the opportunity to contribute directly to safe and reliable infrastructure across the Netherlands while developing your expertise and helping shape the future of Asset Management. In addition, we offer:

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience;
  • Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.45 per day);
  • 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective);
  • Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results;
  • Attractive pension scheme;
  • Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package);
  • Extensive development opportunities, including a comprehensive online academy via GoodHabitz;
  • Communities to join, such as Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women and the Van Oord staff association;
  • Various events and sports activities, such as skiing, sailing weekends, cycling and motorcycling.
