As a Pre Qualification Officer in the Tender Office for Offshore Energy, you will assist in organising and managing pre‑qualification and tender processes. You will work with international, diverse and challenging projects for Dredging, Infrastructure and Offshore Energy of various sizes crossing your desk. To secure our next project, a qualification and tender process must be executed efficiently and accurately.
You hold a key position where you can make a difference from day one by translating Van Oord’s story into commercially effective submissions. You ensure that pre‑qualification responses and tender documents are ready on time and reflect our strengths.
Your main contributions include:
• Ensuring submissions are carefully prepared so that tender teams can submit the bid or we pre-qualify to tender
• Composing and writing Request For Information documents and standardised content
• Aligning with departments across Van Oord to ensure timely delivery of correct information
• Assisting in tenders by gathering certificates, track records or writing generic texts
• Contributing to improvements in the PQ process and supporting colleagues with needed information
You will join the Pre Qualification Desk (PQ Desk) team in the Tender Office in Gorinchem. The team consists of experienced colleagues and another Pre Qualification Officer. Together you support tender teams across Dredging, Infrastructure and Offshore Energy. You are part of a collaborative environment where we back each other up and continuously look for better ways of working. You are central in connecting teams, keeping an overview and making a real contribution to winning new projects.
You thrive under pressure, stay focused on your goal and deliver accurate work even when deadlines are tight. You are a fast learner with a positive mindset. You enjoy working in a team and are not afraid to take initiative. You know how to process large amounts of information, keep track of the bigger picture and double-check the details.
You also meet the following requirements:
• Higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working
• At least one year of experience with pre-qualifications or a similar coordinating role
• Affinity with the maritime or offshore sector is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• You live in or near the Gorinchem area
You will play a significant role in our mission, Building the future together, and help shape how Van Oord wins tomorrow’s work.
Additionally, we offer you:
• A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
• Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.40 per day)
• 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective)
• Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results
• Attractive pension scheme
• Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package)
• Extensive development opportunities, including a comprehensive online academy via Goodhabitz
• Communities to join, such as Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women, and the Van Oord staff association
• Various events and sports activities, such as skiing, sailing weekends, cycling, and motorcycling
