Pool Manager Crew

YOUR IMPACT

As Pool Manager, you are responsible that the Van Oord vessels assigned to you are manned as effectively and efficiently as possible, you serve as a secure home base for the crew and act as their first point of contact regarding their work and career path. 

Additionally, you will:

  • Identify crew demand aligned with Van Oord's future goals;
  • Coach, guide, and assess crew members to maintain efficient asset manning and provide opportunities for their development;
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing employees in close cooperation with the Vessel Management;
  • Contribute to integrating Van Oord’s QHSE policies and corrective actions into department policies and daily practices.


YOUR WORKPLACE 

Your pool consists of approximately 400 FTEs of different nationalities. Your primary workplace will be our office in Rotterdam, but visiting equipment is also part of the job.


ABOUT YOU

With your helicopter view, you ensure proper planning and maintain oversight in a dynamic environment. You can switch quickly between different issues and know how to involve the right people. Your leadership and strong communication skills ensure you are engaged with your pool, and people know where to find you when needed. 

Additionally, you:

  • Have at least 10 years of experience in personnel management, preferably in the maritime sector;
  • Are proficient in both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
  • Have experience working in a complex project organization.
