Pool Management Support

You thrive in the background, but your work is always visible. As a trusted team member in our dynamic Pool Support team, you make sure every colleague in Offshore and Offshore Wind starts their journey smoothly. From training registrations to warm onboardings, your impact is human, helpful and felt from day one.

THE POSITION

At Van Oord, our Project Office in Gorinchem plays a key role in deploying the right people with the right resources to projects and vessels worldwide. As Pool Management Support, you form a vital link between HR, operations and our people. You’ll join a team that works across departments and time zones to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes — so that others can thrive offshore.

YOUR IMPACT

With your energy, empathy and precision, you’ll help:

  • Welcome and support colleagues with onboarding, training, PPE and equipment
  • Coordinate training, vaccinations and IT setup for new starters
  • Keep time registration, declarations, CV updates and systems (SRXP, UBW) accurate and up to date records using Van Oord's internal systems
  • Act as IT Coordinator (ITCO) and organise pension and jubilee events
  • Support pool managers by keeping everything running smoothly in the background

YOUR WORKPLACE

You’ll work from our modern, vibrant Gorinchem office, close to where many of our Offshore and Offshore Wind colleagues are based. You’ll join a close-knit, informal team that values open communication, mutual support and shared ownership. In this role, you’ll work closely with your other support colleague. It’s a dynamic, international setting where no two days are the same.

ABOUT YOU

You love variety and being at the centre of things. You’re service-minded, well-organised and flexible,  switching easily between different tasks and conversations. You enjoy supporting others and being the go-to person for colleagues. You bring:

  • A practical mindset and administrative experience
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful, proactive attitude
  • Solid proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
  • You live within maximum 30 minutes commute from the Gorinchem office

WE OFFER

In this role you help us grow this ambitious business unit. You bring structure and quality of work into the team.

Additionally, we offer you:

• A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
• Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.45 per day)
• 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective)
• Variable bonus
• Attractive pension scheme
• Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package)
• Extensive development opportunities, including a comprehensive online academy via Goodhabitz
• Communities to join, such as Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women, and the Van Oord staff association
• Various events and sports activities, such as skiing, sailing weekends, cycling, and motorcycling
