Your work connects financial reporting, internal control, risk management and process improvement. You work closely with colleagues across Finance & Control and with business stakeholders. You also contribute to external financial reporting and statutory accounts. In this role, you have the opportunity to improve how we work and strengthen the quality of our financial processes.
Your work gives management the insight and confidence needed to make sound decisions. You review financial information, perform reconciliations and support impairment and going concern procedures. You help design reporting processes and controls for areas such as foreign exchange, hedging and tax. You also contribute to ESG reporting and help strengthen the related processes, controls and assurance. By using technology and looking for smarter ways of working, you help make our processes more efficient. Your impact includes:
• Support the reporting cycle through financial reviews, reconciliations, impairment reviews and going concern procedures
• Design accounting and reporting processes and related controls for topics such as foreign exchange, hedging and tax

You will join the Group Reporting & Control team of around 10 colleagues. Together, you work on management reporting for the Executive Committee, Audit & Risk Committee and Supervisory Board as well as external financial reporting.
You take initiative and spot opportunities to create value. You work accurately and analytically while keeping sight of the bigger picture. You communicate clearly and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. You are comfortable working in an international environment where priorities can change. You take ownership and follow processes through to completion. We are looking for:
• A university degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field, preferably including CA, RA or RC
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international business environment
• Experience in a project environment is preferred
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, with a willingness to travel internationally
This role gives you the opportunity to influence how Van Oord manages financial performance, risk and reporting. You will work on topics that matter to the business and help shape better ways of working. We give you the tools, trust and colleagues to make a meaningful contribution. We offer you:
• A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
• Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.45 per day)
• 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective)
