In the role of FP&A Consultant you will be part of the Finance & Control organisation of the business unit Offshore Energy and work closely with other disciplines within the Offshore Energy Business Unit. The Offshore Energy Business Unit realises an ambitious growth path with sustainable projects such as offshore wind farms and energy infrastructure projects that Van Oord implements all over the world.
As FP&A Consultant you are the strategic internal advisor and business partner for senior management. You will provide valuable data driven (financial) insights and advice to support better informed decision-making. This for example through data analysis, dashboarding and the preparation of business cases. You will also drive business development, collaborate on investment projects and contribute to strategic processes, such as annual plans and long-term strategy. Furthermore, you contribute to identifying and implementing process improvements so that we can achieve our strategic objectives efficiently and effectively. We are currently taking major steps in the field of data analytics and digitalisation, in which you also play an important role. YOUR IMPACT
The responsibilities that come with this role are:
• Financial business partner of the commercial and operational departments;
• Financial modelling and analytical support to the business;
• Member of business development working teams;
• Performing portfolio and competitor analyses and long-term forecasting;
• Coordinating an effective budgeting and management information reporting process;
• Leading internal process improvement projects (Van Oord Way of Working);
• Implementing the finance strategy in organisation-wide projects;
• Contributing to digitalisation and data analytics within Van Oord.
You will report to the Director FP&A, hybrid working is a possibility work at our Gorinchem office.
You are results-driven and hands-on, have strong communication and analytical skills and are a real team player. In addition, you are a conceptual thinker so you can communicate complex issues concisely and effectively at all levels of the organisation. We appreciate it if you have strong affinity with data analytics, digital, automation and process improvement.
Furthermore, you bring:
• Bsc./MSc. degree in Business Economics, Finance or similar (CMA, CFA or RC a plus);
• At least 4 years work experience in business control or FP&A in a large-scale complex project environment;
• Experience in project management;
• Affinity with the Maritime and/or Civil sector;
• Command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
