External Hiring Advisor

THE POSITION

We are looking for an External Hiring Advisor to join our FlexOord team within the HR department. FlexOord supports the business in hiring and contracting external professionals (such as Superintendents, Engineers, QHSE Advisors and Surveyors) for our diverse international projects. As External Hiring Advisor you act as the key contact for our internal stakeholders, suppliers and candidates. You ensure that the right expert is contracted at the right place and time. FlexOord aims to offer one point of contact with a standardised and digitalised process for external hiring.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role you will facilitate all business units (Dredging, Offshore, Offshore Wind) and staff departments (such as QHSE, HR and Legal) in hiring external staff. You will be the first point of contact for questions from the business and suppliers on policies and best practices. In addition, you:

  • Source, pre-select and contract external staff via suppliers, supported by our Workforce Management System
  • Build strong relationships between hiring managers, suppliers and external professionals
  • Advise the business on flexible workforce strategies, based on analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with HR, Procurement and hiring managers to continuously improve hiring processes and systems
  • Take the lead in (change) projects within the FlexOord team to ensure smooth operations

YOUR WORKPLACE

You will be part of the FlexOord team within our HR department. Together we are building a modern, digitalised and standardised approach to external hiring. You will work closely with colleagues from different business units and departments, in an open and collaborative environment where teamwork and initiative are valued.

ABOUT YOU

You are an enthusiastic and proactive colleague with strong communication skills. You know how to build and maintain relationships, both internally with stakeholders and externally with suppliers. You are driven to establish best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

In addition, you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree
  • Have at least 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in staffing for international projects
  • Possess knowledge of laws and regulations concerning external hiring (e.g. DBA, ABU/NBBU)
  • Are available for at least 32 hours per week
  • Are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
  • Understand complex, multidisciplinary environments, preferably in the maritime industry
  • Have the drive to get things done
