We believe that data plays a crucial role in realizing our ambitious projects and improving our processes. That is why we are looking for a driven Data Engineer to strengthen our team in Rotterdam.

YOUR IMPACT

• Analyzing data in relation to ship or operational processes;

• Developing and optimizing data infrastructures and pipelines;

• Integrating internal and external data sources into a scalable environment;

• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to support business goals;

• Managing data quality and ensuring security and privacy;

• Contributing to the digital transformation and innovation within Van Oord.

 

ABOUT YOU

• A completed HBO or WO education in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering or Maritime Technology with a strong link to Computer Science and Data Science;

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role;

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Matlab, Java or Scada;

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL);

• A proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.
