Change Manager

The position

At Van Oord, we embrace change and we're looking for you, a driven Change Manager! Your role focuses on the human side of change: from business processes to organizational structures. Your mission? Developing and executing strategies and action plans that involve employees and stakeholders in the change process, with a pragmatic approach aligned with internal project plans.


In this role, you'll be the driving force behind the successful adoption of a new HR system, including a transformation in the operating model and the roles and responsibilities within the organization. This project addresses the need for a more modern HR approach, with enabling direct HR tasks for managers in the system as a key point.


We're seeking a Change Manager who can translate strategy into practical action plans, integrated with the project management plan, for a structured implementation. You combine strategic insight with a hands-on mentality and work closely with the project team and stakeholders to achieve lasting change.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing a comprehensive change strategy.
  • Creating tangible deliverables and action plans for effective change management.
  • Establishing communication and training programs to support the change.
  • Defining, measuring, and monitoring the impact of change to ensure effectiveness.
  • Integrating change management with project management, including advising and coaching project teams and managers for successful change leadership.


Job requirements

  • Completed hbo/wo degree in Business Administration or Change Management;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in change management within complex organizations;
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies, preference for Prosci ADKAR;
  • Strong relationship builder with influential skills; experience with HR system implementations is a plus.
