YOUR IMPACT

As a Business Application Team Lead, you’ll be the go-to person for all application-related queries, whether they come from our headquarters in Rotterdam, a rock dumping site in the Arabian Sea, or any of our international locations. Your mission is to ensure our customers are satisfied by connecting them with the best solutions and specialists. Your dedication to quality will be evident in your drive to continuously improve our applications, procedures, and team performance.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and motivate a team of application specialists to achieve high performance;
  • Manage application administration processes, including audits, security, and supplier and stakeholder relations;
  • Provide top-tier user support and resolve issues efficiently;
  • Suggest and implement improvements to our business applications;
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach to all inquiries and challenges;

YOUR WORKPLACE

You are part of the Competence Centre team with a total of 7 colleagues. Our Competence Centre team falls within our Ship Management Department. You work intensively with various colleagues within the SMD department. This position is based at our head office in Rotterdam.

ABOUT YOU

You are an individual with proven leadership experience, particularly in successfully managing and inspiring a team of technical specialists. You  will demonstrate proficiency in application administration and stakeholder management, backed by a solid understanding of administrative processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for effectively addressing technical challenges.

Additionally, expertise in prioritizing and managing workloads, while maintaining attention to detail and quality control, is crucial. Exceptional communication skills are needed to support users, collaborate with team members, and foster a positive work environment. A commitment to learning and applying new technologies and processes is required to ensure continuous improvement.

We value deep analytical curiosity, with a focus on understanding the root causes of problems to enhance customer satisfaction. Above all, a results-driven approach is essential, with a strong emphasis on achieving tangible results and improving service quality.

Besides that you have:

  • Minimum of 10 years as a Business Application Manager in a large organization;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken;
