Team Lead Contingent Workforce

At FlexOord, our central hiring desk at Van Oord, you have the opportunity to further shape the path we've embarked on with a new strategy and roadmap. Are you the experienced leader who can help us realize this vision and elevate our team to the next level? Then we are looking for you to join our team!

THE POSITION

FlexOord has been the central hiring desk at Van Oord for over 4 years. We support the hiring and contracting of temporary staff on board our ships, on projects, and in our offices. You will be the point of contact for all departments within Van Oord, suppliers, and candidates. FlexOord aims to be a single point of contact and to offer a standardized and digitalized process for hiring and contracting temporary employees. To support this process, we use a Vendor Management System.

In the coming years, Van Oord has a significant growth strategy. Therefore, the Talent Acquisition (TA) department faces a considerable challenge. Our TA department currently consists of 30 colleagues (permanent, interim, campus, employer branding, and project management). Together, we are responsible for the entire recruitment process of about 700 vacancies and approximately 1,700 temporary employees per year, all within scarce, knowledge-intensive, international target groups. We are currently finalizing a new strategy for FlexOord and the corresponding roadmap for the coming years. This is all being done in close collaboration with HR, Procurement, and Legal.

YOUR IMPACT

As Team Lead of the FlexOord Hiring Desk, you play a crucial role in this challenging environment. You will advise departments on flexible staffing based on analyses and reports. Beyond the operational hiring process, we are in a phase of significant development. These improvement initiatives largely involve further developing the roadmap and elevating the hiring desk to the next level. As one of the four Team Leads, leading a team of 5 colleagues, you will be part of the Global Talent Acquisition Team and report to our Head of Global Talent Acquisition.

  • You will build relationships and ensure strong connections between hiring managers, suppliers, and temporary employees.
  • Advice on and ensure compliance with laws and regulations;
  • You will contribute to process and system optimizations by leading improvement projects;
  • You will work closely with Procurement, HR, and Legal to achieve a standardized and digitalized hiring process.

Your regular workplace is Rotterdam. You are willing to work at our office in Gorinchem if necessary. Hybrid working is, of course, an option!

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a dynamic and strategically minded leader with a passion for contingent workforce management. A team player with a proactive attitude and the right mindset to get things done and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You communicate excellently in both Dutch and English and you are driven to improve processes, have strong analytical skills and can easily switch between strategic and operational levels within a multidisciplinary environment. Specifi-cally:

  • You have a bachelor's degree or a similar level of thinking and working;
  • You have experience in a leadership role within contingent workforce management, preferably in an international matrix organization;
  • You are well-versed in laws and regulations regarding external recruitment (such as DBA, ABU/NBBU, MLC).

WE OFFER YOU

We offer you a position in which you will have an important contribution to our mission 'build-ing a better world for future generations'. In addition, we offer you:
