The position

Do you have a real 'get the job done' mentality? Are planning, organizing, arranging and unburdening terms that you can completely relate to. In that case, the position of Project Staff Planner is the ideal position for you! As a Project Staff Planner at van Oord you will be in the midst of a complex project-driven organization. You will work closely with many different stakeholders, from Project Management, to Pool Management and the Project Staff themselves. All of these colleagues are deployed on our projects and vessels all over the world. From setting up, managing and monitoring the Staff planning, to the timely identification of planning conflicts and the communication about required staffing and project vacancies to the various stakeholders and departments.

In addition, you are service-oriented and you know how to ensure the full deployment of the Project Staff from A to Z. In the midst of all this, you organize the trips, make optimal use of the Van Oord systems and take care of the accurate administration and communication regarding everything that comes with it. You are the first point of contact for our Project Staff regarding the planning, schedules and travel information. Next to that you will organise and arrange travel, accommodation and everything that comes with the deployment of employees all over the world on both project sites and our installation ships.

Your responsibilities

  • Coordination of the adequate personnel needs with the Project Manager;
  • Communication and collaboration regarding personnel needs and project specific requirements with the various Van Oord departments and Pool Managers;
  • Setting up, managing and monitoring the most efficient and optimal Project Staff planning;
  • Timely identification and signalling of possible planning conflicts and able to think along in possible solutions;
  • Accurate administrative processing in and use of the Van Oord systems.


Job requirements

You are a person that loves making things happen and a real puzzle king or queen. Next to that you have excellent communication skills, a great analytical mind and always ready to provide your colleagues with your services.

Other requirements; 

  • Demonstrable higher vocational intellectual and professional level;
  • Preferably more than two years of work experience in a similar position and in a project-based environment;
  • Preferably with experience or an education in HR;
  • Excellent communication skills of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
  • An independent, stress-resistant and hands-on personality who can make decisions and works well in a vibrant team environment.
