Business Application Trainer

No matter what, you are always looking to provide the best service, whether you have to dive into a complex issue or work on process improvements. If that is the case have a look at what Van Oord can offer you!

YOUR IMPACT

As a Business Application Trainer at Van Oord, you can indulge yourself! From deep in the water to high in the air, our projects are often unique and without exception full of technical, financial and organizational challenges.

The Ship Management Department (SMD) has a number of important business applications that we train our users to use as optimally as possible for their work, including crew planning and vessel maintenance. We are currently replacing these with modern SaaS solutions. This means that there will be sufficient opportunities and challenges to fill this position in the coming years. A small but close-knit team of 8 specialists is responsible for managing, optimizing and training users for this application.

ABOUT YOU

As a Business Application Trainer at Van Oord, you never know where a training request comes from. A project planner from the head office in Rotterdam? Gorinchem? A master of a trailing suction hopper dredger? Fleet personnel? Ultimately, it doesn't matter to you. Your focus is on providing the best possible training in an environment with over 1000 active users. Furthermore, tasks such as functional testing and business analysis are things that suit you well!

Quality is of paramount importance to you and we see this reflected in the way in which you want to continuously improve our training courses by suggesting improvements, creating new e-learnings and training materials. A dynamic position with a lot of variety.

You are a service-oriented Business Application Trainer who combines training skills with a proactive, flexible and energetic attitude. Curious about what users need to get their work done and offering that as a learning tool. Results count for you! With your excellent social skills, you know how to optimally support our users. If you have worked with a building application before or in a maritime environment, that is a great advantage for you.

You bring:

  • Higher vocational education work and thinking level;
  • Experience as a Business Application Trainer in a large organization;
  • Experience in creating e-learnings;
  • Good command of the English and Dutch language in word and writing;
  • Willing to provide occasional user support;
  • Willingness to travel abroad on occasion.

WE OFFER YOU

Working in an international, high demanding and dynamic organisation, with the possibility to truly have an impact on our business, people and environment. We offer a complete package with excellent secondary employment benefits. The package includes among other things:

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience;
  • 32 leave days of which a max. of 7 days can be appointed as collective leave days;
  • A pension scheme;
  • A variable bonus;
  • Extensive learning and (personal) development possibilities;
  • An adequate travel allowance;
  • Collective health insurance (optional);
  • Flexible working hours and flexible (remote) work location.
