YOUR IMPACT

As Business Application Manager, you can indulge yourself at Van Oord! From deep in the water to high in the air, our projects are often unique and without exception full of technical, financial and organizational challenges.

 

GRIP  is our human resource planning application which was implemented over 4 years ago, we are currently in the process of replacing it with a modern SaaS solution. The system is used for all projects within Van Oord and the planning of the ship's crew. A small but close-knit team of 4 specialists is responsible for managing and optimizing this application.

 

As a Business Application Manager at Van Oord, you never know from where a question might arise. From the head office in Rotterdam? Gorinchem? A rock dumping site in the Arabian or Baltic Sea? Ultimately it doesn't matter to you. Your focus is to provide proactive support for our application at our various offices worldwide and onboard more than 80 vessels. You offer the right support for an environment with more than 500 active users.

 

Quality is of paramount importance to you, which we see in the way in which you want to continuously improve our applications by suggesting improvements, implementing changes, testing new releases and training users. A dynamic position with a lot of variety.

ABOUT YOU

You are a service-oriented Business Application Manager who combines analytical skills with a proactive, flexible and energetic attitude. Curious about the core of the enquiry or problem. Result matter for you! With your excellent social skills, you know how to optimally support our users. Due to the combination of 'understanding the customer' and a process-oriented attitude, you always know how to find the best solution. You can deal with an occasional heavy workload. If you have worked with an planning application before or in a maritime setting, that will be a major advantage to you.

 

You bring:

  • Higher vocational education work and thinking level;
  • Experience as a Business Application Manager in a large organization;
  • Experience in providing user support and/or training;
  • Good command of the English and Dutch language in word and writing.
