• Maintain, optimise and improve the engine room and technical systems in close cooperation with the Chief Engineer;

• Execute routine maintenance and repairs to guarantee top technical performance;

• Supervise, motivate and instruct assigned crew members to get the best from the team;

• Create a constructive and supportive work atmosphere onboard;

• Maintain ship administration according to Van Oord procedures.

You are calm under pressure, committed to teamwork and ready to take responsibility. Your maritime background, technical expertise and strong communication skills make you a valuable force onboard.In addition you also have:

• MBO or HBO diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent;

• Minimum 3 years of experience as 2nd Engineer on dredging vessels;

• DP Maintenance Certificate and the required valid STCW documents.
