THE POSITION

Do you have an affinity with Marine Offshore Construction and do you see yourself working with state-of-the-art equipment that meets the latest technical standards? Van Oord is looking for 2nd/3th Officers, preferably with experience on Offshore Construction vessels. As a 2nd/3th Officer, you will ensure that assigned equipment is used in compliance with safety, maritime, and environmental regulations to achieve optimal production on board.

YOUR IMPACT

As a 2nd/3th Officer during the watch, you will be responsible (together with the Chief Officer) for maintaining the navigational and operational processes, ensuring vessel productivity. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the 2nd Officer with all navigational duties and acting as the Safety Officer.
  • Optimizing the production and continuity of the vessel, overseeing operations with the Chief Officer.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining safety equipment.
  • Discussing methods to optimize the production process with the Master and Chief Officer.
  • Training and coaching 3th/4th Officers and trainees on board.
  • Maintaining the ship's administration according to Van Oord standards.
