The position

As QHSE incident administrator you are responsible for monitoring and follow-up of Health, Safety and Environmental related incidents reported within Van Oord, and will take up other administrator duties where needed (e.g. action tracking).Your responsibilities

Checking that everything is entered correctly and otherwise making sure it is updated appropriately. You will also train the new employees how the Incident Management System works.

Your responsibilities

  • Monitoring of the incident registration system and follow-up on incidents reported;
  • Internal communication with incident reporters, Project Managers, Fleet Managers, marine equipment, regarding the incidents;
  • Reviewing of incidents, discussing with stakeholders;
  • Monitoring of incident mailbox and keeping it up to date;
  • Provide instructions to personnel regarding the incident reporting system.

Your workplace

You are part of the QHSE systems department which is a team of 5 employees. You will work closely with the colleague who is also responsible for the incident administration. You will quickly get to know the entire organization because you will be in close contact with everyone.


Job requirements

You will need the following knowledge and experience to make this position a success.

  • Good administrative work experience, including MS Office skills;
  • Excellent communication and social skills;
  • Good command of English language, spoken and written, Dutch is a plus;
  • Knowledge or affinity with Health, Safety and Environment, HSE incidents, marine contractors work is a plus;
  • In possession of a driving license and own transportation as you will be working at our office in Gorinchem at least once every 2 weeks, Friday is your regular working day, the rest is negotiable.
