THE POSITION

About the Project Office

As a Corporate Recruiter, your focus will be recruiting talent for the Project Office (PROF). The Project Office enables project excellence by bringing the best of Van Oord to the projects. Serving as the single window for all Project Management within Van Oord, the Project Office plays a centralized and leading role, connecting and collaborating closely with the Business Units (BU) and other departments.

The key teams within the Project Office include:

  • Pool Management and Staff Planning: Ensuring the availability of high-performance project teams to successfully execute BU projects, both now and in the future.
  • Human Resources: Providing highly skilled project teams equipped with advanced management capabilities to BUs and departments.
  • Internal Projects: Ensuring standardized processes and supporting initiatives that help launch projects efficiently.

 

YOUR IMPACT 

As a Corporate Recruiter PROF, your responsibilities are diverse, and no two days will be the same. Together with hiring managers from PROF, you set up recruitment profiles, conduct selection interviews and advise the organisation on the entire recruitment and job offer process. You are therefore responsible for the recruitment of candidates up to and including making job offers. In addition to internal communication and coordination with regard to vacancies, you also ensure that vacancies are spread among the specific target group(s), through effective sourcing and recruitment marketing. You get energy from interacting with internal stakeholders, guiding the entire recruitment process and contributing to binding talent to Van Oord. You are supported in this by a very strong employer brand and more than 5,500 ambassadors.

Working closely with hiring managers from the Project Office and other departments, you will:

  • Act as a tactical and operational recruitment advisor for hiring managers in various departments, including the Project Office, Pool Management, and more.
  • You are responsible for the entire recruitment process, from drafting vacancy texts, assessing applications and conducting interviews to making an offer in the final phase, in collaboration with the hiring manager;
  • Build strong internal relationships with managers and advise them in achieving their goals;
  • Continue to optimize the proposition, processes and results of recruitment in the organization in collaboration with your direct colleagues;
  • Proactive sourcing, effective recruitment marketing and employer branding campaigns.

 

YOUR WORKPLACE

The last years our recruitment team has developed into a fully operational talent acquisition team in which passion, energy and ingenuity are key factors for success. The Talent Acquisition department currently has appr 30 colleagues (permanent, interim, and internship), divided into 2 teams: Recruitment (permanent roles) and FlexOord (contingent workers). Together we are responsible for the end to end recruitment process of approximately 800 vacancies and 1500 flex-employees on an annual basis.  

 

ABOUT YOU

 

You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to operate at various levels. A great sense of responsibility, perseverance, and a critical eye for improvement opportunities are key qualities. Additionally, you bring:

  • A relevant bachelor's degree or similar working experience.
  • Experience in a technical and matrixed work environment.
  • Familiarity with the full recruitment lifecycle in an international environment, especially for scarce profiles.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
