The position

You will be part of a motivated team working towards the future, optimising internal processes, and handling a variety of communication projects. The Corporate Communication team ensures the visibility of our role in society and keeps employees continuously engaged in the developments within our organisation. To strengthen this team, we are looking for an experienced communication advisor. 

This is a mid-senior role where you will create communication plans, have a strategic perspective, and provide advice to internal stakeholders, suppliers, or partners. Simultaneously, you will work on creating substantive content and impressive products, aligning all activities with Van Oord's communication strategy. 

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the communication of our sustainability program, S.E.A. How do you communicate our sustainable ambition and initiatives? How do you activate our employees and make our results visible? A unique task awaits you to determine and execute the communication approach for this and further shape the communication plan.

 

Your responsibilities

In this role you create impactful communication strategies with insights from internal stakeholders. Your proactive, hands-on approach ensures that you manage communication projects from start to finish. Furthermore your responsibilities include: 

  • Developing compelling and engaging content and visualisations, targeting various audiences
  • Coordinating the production of appropriate communication materials
  • Ensuring alignment in the planning of various projects and programs via the communication calendar.

Your workplace:
You will be part of a motivated team working towards the future, optimising internal processes, and handling a variety of communication projects. The Corporate Communication team ensures the visibility of our role in society and keeps employees continuously engaged in the developments within our organisation. You will closely collaborate with colleagues from Internal Communication, External Communication, and Online Communication. In this position, you will report to the Lead Internal Communication.

Job requirements

  • The ideal candidate is an experienced communication advisor with experience in project communication in a corporate environment and has bachelor education level in the field of communication;
  • You switch quickly between activities, target groups, and means while maintaining an overview. Deadlines motivate you to achieve results and make decisions quickly;
  • You are enthusiastic, a connector, and possess a healthy dose of persuasiveness;
  • Aware of developments in the communication field and seize opportunities to apply them;
  • Proficient in both the English and Dutch language, both spoken and written.
