As a project planner at the ship management department, you will be responsible for setting up and following up the planning of the larger modifications & repairs of the existing equipment. With the help of colleagues, you are responsible for understanding planning factors and reapplying them in the planning. But also translating risks into planning and various scenarios. In this role there is no reference to civil projects and is purely about construction, modification and repairs of equipment and ships.

Within the ship management department, which covers the procurement and management of all maritime equipment, a group of planners is responsible for planning projects around these investments and modifications. Currently there are three planners working in this position. Together with these colleagues you coordinate the workload by mutual agreement and you can also temporarily take over work from colleagues.
You will report to the manager new building, but during daily work you will mainly work with project managers and project engineers. You will be part of the project planning team. This is a group of planners of approximately 35 colleagues. You work from the head office in Rotterdam and are flexible to visit our office in Gorinchem and projects.
To be successful in this role you need experience with multidisciplinary technical projects, experience in planning in maritime (manufacturing) industry, steel or construction. In this role you will work together with project managers, technical super intendents and technical engineers. Your communication skills and team spirit are therefore also very important as a project planner. In this role, it is important that you are proactive and take an active attitude when it comes to planning for instrument deployment in the realization of projects.
